sadly Saturday last at carrightwohill saw our senior team bough out of the championship. St.Catherines were our opponents and we were hoping to repeat the victory of last year, however it was not meant to be.
They had two points on the scoreboard before Angela Walsh opened our score sheet with a point. Noelle o Donovan followed that up with another point. Persistant hard work gave catherines three points on the trot before Noelle and Angela put a stop to their gallop with two more. they pointed again. Kate Murphy rose our hopes with a great goal to leave the half time score 1-4 to 6points in our favor. catherines opened strong with a rattler of a goal and we looked under pressure but ploughed on. Kate pointed a free. we got a life line in a penalty but the yield was nil. They had three more points and again Noelle playing a true captains part pointed yet again. kate took agreat free and it cruised over the bar. Angela pointed yet again. Claire keohane goaled and it looked like we were going to get there, sadly it was our last score and catherines went on to get two more points to win the game 1-12 to 2-8.

The very best of luck to the girls that line out with the cork footballers on Sunday October 7th.

Many thanks to those who contributed clothes for our recent fundraiser.
