THE PAT MOLONEY SHIELD: (Presented to Regional Feile na nGael winners of 2nd placed teams in their county). Pat Moloney is from the East Cork village of Killeagh.  A centre forward with pace & style, she was quickly drafted onto the county senior team while still only a teenager, and success came quickly.  Seven senior All Irelands, one as Captain, she helped Killeagh capture six senior Co. Championships , with the club jumping from Junior to Senior ranks  in the very competitive Cork club Championship scene , during her time playing.  She was also part of the team that brought the All Ireland club senior title in 1981 to her native parish, with her intelligent play and barnstorming runs a trait of her game.  A worthy inclusion on the Team of the Century, player of the year award in 1978, and four Ashbourne cup medals with UCC.
